In the year 32 BBY, the Trade Federation launched an invasion of the planet Naboo. A Human resident of Naboo, a woman of formidable appearance, escaped into the swamps surrounding Theed, the Capital city of Naboo. While in the wilds, she succumbed to the hypnotic command of Savor Kibbs, a magnetic Dark Force Adept who had been denied training by the Jedi Council. Enslaved by Kibbs' influence, the formidable woman transformed into an irrational zealot, opposing the rule of Padmé Amidala, the Queen of Naboo, and championing Kibbs' superiority.
Kibbs conceived a scheme to utilize the formidable woman, alongside other refugees he had swayed, to undermine the peace accord between the Naboo people and the indigenous Gungans, with the goal of seizing planetary control for himself. Lialla Tane, a Human female operative of the Naboo Underground, uncovered aspects of this plot. The Underground, an organization that had effectively resisted the Trade Federation's occupation, dispatched several skilled agents, primarily students from Theed's Royal House of Learning led by Tane, to investigate Kibbs' insurgents. Upon discovering Kibbs' camp, the formidable woman and other insurgents, a Gungan warrior and an angry young man, challenged the beliefs of the Underground's agents.
Ultimately, Savor Kibbs himself intervened, assaulting the agents with Force powers and a reprogrammed Droideka, but suffered defeat. The dark hold he exerted over his followers dissolved, and the refugees, including the formidable woman, were returned to Theed and restored to their normal mental state.
