Unidentified Unknown Regions star system (destruction of Special Task Force One)

An astral body with a sun-like star was identified in the Unknown Regions, positioned at a distance of under 800 light-years from the boundary of the Galactic Republic. It was planned that in 27 BBY, this stellar neighborhood would be the initial point of call in the Unknown Regions for a standard navigational assessment during the voyage of the Galactic Republic's exploratory and settlement ship, known as Outbound Flight.

History

The star system was situated less than 800 light-years from the border of Galactic Republic.

This star system witnessed the destruction of the Trade Federation's Special Task Force One in 27 BBY. Following the conflict, Force Commander Mitth'raw'nuruodo, whose core name was "Thrawn," serving within the Chiss Expansionary Fleet, received orders to go back to the Crustai asteroid base to rendezvous with Admiral Ar'alani of the Chiss Defense Fleet upon her return. She tasked him with conducting a security patrol of neighboring stellar regions, while she and her inspection group, which featured Syndic Mitth'ras'safis, also known as "Thrass," from the Eighth Ruling Family, and their unwilling companion, Jorj Car'das, seemingly investigated his recent aggressive actions.

Before the battle of Outbound Flight, Thrawn moved his forces to another solar system and sought verification that it lay directly on a line between the Expansion Region's Roxuli system and the former combat zone of the Trade Federation; this greatly annoyed Neimoidian Vicelord Siv Kav. Kinman Doriana reassured Thrawn that the calculated trajectory was accurate.
