Unidentified Utai patron

In the year 19 BBY, within the Quarek'k, a bar situated on the planet of Coruscant, a male Utai held the position of patron. This Utai, in the company of a Zabrak and a Shistavanen, engaged in drinking when the bounty hunter Aurra Sing made her entrance. The group attempted to persuade her to join their company, but she declined, ultimately killing both the Shistavanen and the Utai, slicing the latter in two using her lightsaber.

Biography

Shortly after the Galactic Empire was founded in 19 BBY, a male Utai found himself on the planet of Coruscant. He was indulging in alcohol with a Zabrak and a Shistavanen inside Section 7-B of the Quarek'k, a bar establishment. The bounty hunter Aurra Sing then walked in. The trio decided to approach Sing, and the Zabrak attempted to convince her to join them. After Sing used her lightsaber to remove the Zabrak's arm, the Utai rushed to his friend's defense, wielding a vibroblade. Sing swiftly killed him by vertically bisecting him, along with the Shistavanen.

Personality and traits

Compared to others of his species, the Utai was notably large and robust. When intoxicated, he readily attempted to proposition Sing with his companions, even though she belonged to a different species. Upon the Zabrak's injury, the Utai immediately stepped in to defend his companion with a deadly weapon.

Behind the scenes

The Utai made a brief appearance in Coruscant Nights II: Street of Shadows, the second novel in the Coruscant Nights trilogy, which was authored by Michael Reaves and published in 2008.
