This commander of the Viidaav species, whose identity is unknown, spearheaded a squad of Viidaav soldiers in opposition to Galactic Republic clone troopers. This clash occurred during the Battle of Viidaav in the year 20 BBY. The commander and his team were positioned close to a defended mining array, which had control over the volatile mining charges planted beneath the surface of the planet Viidaav. As the Republic sent reinforcements to strengthen their attack on the array, the battle began to swing against the Viidaav fighters. However, the Viidaav discovered that their supposed comrades from the Confederacy of Independent Systems had betrayed them when they detected the detonation signal being sent to the mining array's main computer.
In a final desperate attempt to prevent the charges from detonating, the Viidaav commander guided his soldiers. Simultaneously, clone troopers, under the command of their commander, advanced towards the array. Both sides endured significant losses, ultimately leaving only the two commanders confronting each other at the bunker that held the array's computer. The Viidaav leader made his way into the building, battling through the array's defensive measures. With only 15 seconds before the scheduled detonation, the opposing commanders encountered each other in the central computer room. For the subsequent 12 seconds, they stood in silent confrontation. In the end, the Viidaav commander initiated the gunfire, only to be shot by the clone commander in return. As the air cleared, the clone commander understood that the Viidaav leader's intention was never to kill him. Instead, he had wrecked the computer, preventing the explosion and saving the planet and its inhabitants from annihilation.
