Unidentified Weequay security chief
A Weequay of the male persuasion was employed by the criminal syndicate known as the Skar'kla Consortium as a security operative in the time leading up to the Clone Wars. During his tenure with the organization, a rival Hutt contracted an enforcer, who masqueraded as a Jedi, to assassinate the Skar'kla leader, a Bothan crime lord named Akris Ur'etu. The enforcer located the leader and successfully eliminated him along with several of his henchmen, including the aforementioned Weequay.
Biography
Prior to the Clone Wars, a male Weequay held the position of security chief within the criminal enterprise known as the Skar'kla Consortium, serving the Bothan crime lord Akris Ur'etu. While the Weequay was in the service of Akris, a rival Hutt, who was attempting to encroach upon the Consortium's territory, engaged an enforcer with the intention of disrupting the criminal organization and killing its leader.
The enforcer, adopting the guise of a Jedi to deflect suspicion away from the Hutts, managed to locate Akris and launch an assault, despite the fact that the crime lord had hired the Duros bounty hunter Cad Bane to eliminate the false Jedi. The Weequay, however, made no effort to assist the Bothan, as the crime lord had instructed him to only intervene if called upon. The enforcer pursued the crime lord and six of his thugs into a Skar'kla base, where they sealed the blast doors behind them. The Jedi impersonator proceeded to cut through the blast doors using a stolen blue lightsaber and then rolled a [Thermal detonator](/article/thermal_detonator-legends] through the opening, resulting in an explosion that completely annihilated three of the thugs. The enforcer then eliminated the remaining thugs, while Akris escaped through a secret passageway activated by a hidden switch on his Greel wood desk.
Akris then proceeded to the security center, where he encountered the Weequay. The Bothan was incensed at the security chief, although he acknowledged that he had merely followed orders. Upon being informed that the Jedi was approaching, the Weequay became excited, as he had always desired to engage one in combat. Upon the Jedi's arrival, the security chief attempted to attack with a Force pike, but the fake Jedi employed a mono-filament fiber and a magnetic grappling hook to seize a holdout blaster pistol from Akris and then fatally shot the Weequay.
Personality and traits
The Weequay did not seem to express any remorse after Akris reprimanded him for his lack of assistance during the attack. He possessed a considerable degree of confidence in his combat prowess, believing that he could defeat a Jedi in battle.
