Concerning Adrialla
Hello! In Convergence, Adrialla is described as a regent, not a regnant. If you possess an official reference indicating this is incorrect and she is indeed a regnant, could you please share it? Thank you! Lewisr (talk) 04:11, 4 March 2024 (UTC)
- Hello! I'm providing two quotations where Adrialla is called a regent: "Queen Adrialla whispered from her seat. Her consort squeezed the regent's shoulders," and "The queen started to get up, but her consort placed a gentle hand on her regent's." Kindly inform me if you have a verifiable source stating otherwise. If not, we should maintain the pages as they are. Thanks! Lewisr ( talk ) 05:51, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
Hello! With respect, I believe the phrase "Queen regent Adrialla" is not entirely accurate. While "regent" signifies a ruler, "queen regent" denotes a temporary ruler, unlike "queen regnant," which indicates a permanent one. Since her full name is consistently written as "Queen Adrialla," that is the most suitable way to refer to her within this article. It also aligns best with the consistency of other articles on Wookieepedia. —Unsigned comment by LetsWaboJr (talk • contribs).
- Perhaps omitting 'queen regent' would be beneficial, but referring to her as a regent on its own is still supported by the source. I've made a minor change; does this meet your approval? Lewisr ( talk ) 06:01, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
While it is certainly a step in the right direction, I anticipate that this will lead to confusion, as the canon article on "Regent" primarily discusses temporary rulers, mirroring the definition itself. The terms "regent" and "regnant" are frequently confused. Given that Into the Dark accurately uses "regnant," it's plausible that the author of Convergence mistakenly used "regent" instead of "regnant" on two occasions. Considering this, and the fact that she is predominantly referred to as Queen Adrialla or the queen, it would likely be best to omit the term "regent" from the article entirely. —Unsigned comment by LetsWaboJr (talk • contribs).
- I understand your point; I've removed it from the page. We'll have to wait and see if future sources use the correct term. Lewisr ( talk ) 06:10, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
I greatly appreciate you listening to my concerns! I'm happy we could come to a resolution. Have a wonderful weekend! —Unsigned comment by LetsWaboJr (talk • contribs).
Regarding Odelia and Adrialla
Hello! Thanks for bringing that to my attention! I have undone those additions and used the word "reigning" instead, simply to specify that they were the ones who were in power at that time. Anıl Şerifoğlu (talk) 00:03, 25 April 2024 (UTC)

Concerning this modification, as Lewisr mentioned earlier, referring to Adrialla as a regent, when not specifically in the phrase "queen regent [name]," remains accurate because it appears multiple times in the source to denote a rank separate from queen (which, in Star Wars, can have various meanings). Any information supported by a canon source is permissible on these pages, and since she is referred to as a regent repeatedly throughout the book, removing it contradicts the policy of creating comprehensive articles. If we intend to make an exception by removing canonical information in this instance, I suggest we discuss it in the Senate Hall for broader input. —spookywillowwtalk 00:11, 25 April 2024 (UTC)
- To further emphasize this, I strongly advise initiating a discussion in the Senate Hall to prevent further edit warring. A key issue here is the ongoing reversions, which could violate the 3RR rule. If a wider community discussion does favor removing the information, it can be put to a vote. Star Wars definitions aren't always as rigid as "real-world" ones when it comes to terminology, and we shouldn't try to second-guess authors by deciding what is and isn't a mistake to exclude from articles (unless the editing community as a whole deems it a mistake, rather than a unilateral decision). —spookywillowwtalk 00:23, 25 April 2024 (UTC)
