File:Unidentified First Order stormtrooper.jpg

Where did you find the file, File:Unidentified First Order stormtrooper.jpg? The DVD or Blu-ray release isn't for another two weeks. We don't allow uploading screenshots from pirated content. 1358 (Talk) 19:17, March 19, 2016 (UTC)

This is where I found it: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hVKkJQXIl2w/Vo3JguLf7iI/AAAAAAAACvs/Dx2vJ1IcIvQ/s1600/The%2BForce%2BAwakens%2BStill%2B-%2BRey%2BPulls%2Bthe%2BJedi%2BMind%2BTrick%2Bon%2Ba%2BStormtrooper.jpg. It is a still image taken directly from the film itself.--Typhuss999 (talk) 19:20, March 19, 2016 (UTC)

  • The problem is that even if it comes from the movie, it wasn't legally obtained. Given the low quality of the linked image, it doesn't look like an official promotional image or anything like that. Since the digital version of TFA is coming out in less than two weeks, it would be better to wait for that release so we can get Blu-ray quality stills from a legitimate source rather than blurry images from questionable websites. 1358 (Talk) 19:31, March 19, 2016 (UTC)

Understood, I will obtain an image from the Star Wars movie screencaps site or another screencap site when the DVD/Blu-ray is released. I apologize for the previous upload, I understand now.--Typhuss999 (talk) 19:36, March 19, 2016 (UTC)

RE: Help

Hello Typhuss, what specific error message appears when you attempt to upload the image? This issue might occur if your account's email address hasn't been confirmed. Alternatively, have you completed all the required fields within the upload form? Ayrehead02 (talk) 09:20, May 26, 2020 (UTC)

  • If the system indicates that you're unverified, it's likely because you haven't confirmed the email associated with your account. You can check the status of your email confirmation in your preferences under the email tab. This issue is unrelated to the group project and its impact on our upload policies. Ayrehead02 ( talk ) 15:39, May 26, 2020 (UTC) Hello Typhuss, if your email is confirmed, I recommend reaching out to a member of the Wikia staff to resolve the problem. I will replace that image the next time I am capturing screenshots from ROTS. Ayrehead02 (talk) 16:04, May 26, 2020 (UTC)

Tenses

In-universe articles should be written using the past tense. Following this rule, "He had had help" is grammatically correct and uses the past tense appropriately. SilverSunbird (talk) 01:16, 13 June 2021 (UTC)

File links

I wanted to inform you that it's preferable to use underscores instead of spaces in file links, which is why I reverted your edits on the Mission to Bracca page. I hope this is clear. Erebus Chronus (Talk) 15:40, 13 June 2021 (UTC)
