V-Brose
V-Brose was a male Human who functioned as a Security Guide, standing guard at the Learning Circle school located on the planet of Kegan. Back in 44 BBY, he crossed paths with the Jedi apprentices Obi-Wan Kenobi and Siri Tachi—who at the time were in search of a Force-sensitive girl by the name of Olana Chion—during a moment when they were being disciplined by V-Tarz, another Security Guide. V-Brose intervened, putting an end to V-Tarz's disciplinary action, yet he remained unconvinced by the two Jedi's claim of being visitors to the planet. He issued them three punishment marks and instructed V-Tarz to escort the Jedi apprentices to their assigned class.
Biography

V-Brose, a male Human, worked as a Security Guide on the planet of Kegan, where he was a guard at the Learning Circle school. This institution delivered The Learning, a curriculum intended to isolate Keganites from the wider galaxy and foster dedication to their homeworld. During a mission to Kegan in 44 BBY, Jedi apprentices Obi-Wan Kenobi and [Siri Tachi](/article/siri_tachi-legends], who were with Jedi Masters Qui-Gon Jinn and Adi Gallia to locate a Force-sensitive girl named Olana Chion, found themselves in a predicament outside the Learning Circle school after speaking disrespectfully to a Security Guard known as V-Tarz. Consequently, V-Tarz threw the two Jedi apprentices to the ground and placed his boot on Kenobi's head.
However, V-Brose happened to come across the situation and demanded an explanation. V-Tarz stated that he had thrown the pair to the ground because they resisted capture, although the Jedi asserted that they were visitors to Kegan, not students. In response, V-Brose told V-Tarz that physical force should not be used on students, as The Learning was based on love, not fear. V-Tarz complied with the instruction, which prompted the Jedi to reiterate that they were not Keganites. Despite the Jedi's insistence, V-Brose remained skeptical, informing them that Kegan received no visitors, issuing them three marks toward a punishment, and then instructing V-Tarz to take them to class.
Personality and traits
V-Brose was a believer in The Learning curriculum, which provided Keganites with misleading information about other planets and species. This was done to maintain their loyalty to their own planet and keep them isolated from the rest of the galaxy. While V-Brose punished students for acting against The Learning, he also ensured that the punishments administered by other Security Guides adhered to the curriculum's methods.
Equipment
V-Brose's Security Guide uniform included a navy-colored chromasheath tunic.
Behind the scenes
V-Brose's character was conceived by Jude Watson for the 2000 novel Jedi Apprentice: The Fight for Truth, which was part of the Jedi Apprentice series.
