Vandolae

Vandolae, a Shi'ido serving as a Senior Anthropologist within the Galactic Empire, held a position at a Coruscant university. Posing as a spacer called Pyrron Nox, who had provided him passage to Centares, he embarked on a secret anthropological investigation into the planet's fringe spacer culture. He met Gideon and Keeta, two acquaintances of the actual Pyrron. Regrettably, after sharing tales of various shapeshifters, against whom Gideon and Keeta expressed bias, he inadvertently revealed his own shapeshifting nature through a series of minor slip-ups. Vandolae tried to use his Shi'ido psionic powers to wipe Gideon's memory, but the spacer reacted quicker, fatally shooting Vandolae.

In a twist of fate, Obo Rin, another Imperial anthropologist, had been trying to locate Vandolae to gather details about the Shi'ido for a report on shapeshifting species intended for Major Vontenn. Shortly after, Rin discovered Vandolae's death, interpreting it as evidence of the limitations of shapeshifters' capabilities.
