The Vashans were a race of intelligent insectoids that originated on the planet Vasha.
Vashans exhibited a body plan similar to that of a centaur, characterized by a slender upper body rising from a broad, four-legged base. They had a pair of lengthy arms, each ending in three-fingered hands capable of precise movements. Their heads featured two small, red eyes positioned far apart, flanking mouths composed of four smaller mandibles and two larger ones. A prominent, single horn extended from the top of their heads.
Renowned for their strength and endurance in labor, they also displayed peculiar dietary preferences and the unique capability to internally store objects within specialized pre-stomachs.
Although their native planet was effectively controlled by the Ayrou, the Vashans maintained self-governance through a theocratic system based on caste.
Profoundly spiritual, they undertook yearly journeys to Inicus Mont located on the lunar body Qina. In the depths of winter, they engaged in penitential rites led by their priestly class, known as bohdis. During these rituals, the bodhis would regurgitate gulletstones, which were referred to as sin-bullets.
Beyond their home planet, Vashans were highly valued for their industriousness, although their dietary habits and tendency to hoard unusual items in their digestive tracts sometimes proved unsettling to potential employers.
