Unidentified Verig species
The world of Verig, a planet, served as the habitat for a band of unsophisticated, indigenous, wandering hunters. These inhabitants employed a weapon resembling a bola - a lengthy cord with stones affixed to its extremities - to ensnare the massive, elephantine Pryss-creatures. In the era of the Galactic Civil War, Beryl Chiffonage, a strategist for the Rebel Alliance, drew inspiration from the Verig nomads' basic, but successful, hunting method. This inspired her to create a comparable maneuver for the T-47 airspeeders to employ against the Imperial All Terrain Armored Transport walkers.
Chiffonage's strategy subsequently led to the destruction of multiple AT-ATs in the Battle of Hoth, which occurred in 3 ABY. The Rebellion's triumph in the Hoth conflict can be attributed to the Verig nomads.
