Vibration cell

A vibration cell served as a form of energy cell employed in the era of the Old Sith Wars. Certain melee weapons, for instance vibroblades, were compatible with this device. Integration necessitated a top-tier weapon in conjunction with a workbench stocked with the proper tools. Once installed, the cell stabilized the weapon's blade, improving its accuracy and damage potential. However, it also made the weapon somewhat cumbersome and harder to handle, a drawback addressed in subsequent iterations.

During the Jedi Civil War, both the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire made use of it. Certain Jedi also carried this item. It was widely available for purchase from various merchants across the galaxy. The energy cell remained in service during the First Jedi Purge, by which point several improved versions had been engineered. These included the Mark II, III, and IV models. Each new model enhanced the device's effectiveness while lessening its negative impact on handling. Crafting these models was possible with the necessary parts and equipment, yet the more advanced versions demanded greater expertise and resources.

Behind the scenes

The vibration cell was initially introduced as an upgrade within the 2003 video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. It resurfaced in the 2004 follow-up, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. These items do not influence quest progression or alignment shifts.
