This being had undergone biological modifications, transforming it into the living defense mechanism for the CZ-198 research installation owned by the Czerka Corporation, a directive issued by Special Executive Rasmus Blys. Its physical form was augmented to exceed six meters in height, and it received significant cybernetic augmentations, which included directly integrating its neural system with CZ-198's security infrastructure; thus, the Vigilant was designated as the installation's guardian. Despite its purpose, the Vigilant met its death during an invasion of the facility, which occurred as CZ-198's primary energy source was at risk of catastrophic failure.
