The pirate known as Kai Zykken abducted the adult female offspring of Viril Shu, a powerful business leader residing on the planet of Denon. Rather than requesting money for her safe return, Zykken tried, without success, to court Shu's daughter, with the intention of marrying her and gaining access to Shu's wealth.
