The governing body of the planet Virujansi was known as the Virujansi council. When the Galactic Empire came to power, during the reign, the council was dissolved and supplanted by an Imperial governorship. The new Imperial authority also eliminated the council's associated military units, for example, the Virujansi Rarified Air Cavalry.
