Waala, in ancient times, denoted the Law ceremony practiced by the Twi'lek. During this public event, a clan demonstrated its reverence for and adherence to its legal code. This legal code encompassed both internal expectations within the clan, and also communicated to onlookers the regulations and tenets of the wider society, including, for clans situated off-world, the laws of their ancestral home, Ryloth. Legend has it that a crystal skull, supposedly fashioned from the solidified remains of Jedi Lord Newar Forrth, the sovereign and guardian of Ryloth throughout the New Sith Wars era, officiated at this ceremony.
