These round artifacts held a sacred place in the Weequay faith. At some point in the period spanning from 13 BBY to 10 BBY, Crimson Dawn came into possession of a box of Weequay religious artifacts, which contained 50 kilogram of subpar andris spice, obtained during a raid on a storage facility owned by Latts Razzi's criminal syndicate. Qi'ra was tasked with the inventory of the syndicate's newly acquired items, and discovered that the spice's quality was lacking. She also observed, based on Maz Kanata's Smuggler's Guide, that Razzi's group likely obtained spice from the Spice Triangle. Consequently, Qi'ra suggested exerting pressure on Zorba the Hutt to uncover his knowledge of the spice's origins.
The Weequay round artifacts were initially referenced in the 2018 reference work Star Wars: Smuggler's Guide, authored by Daniel Wallace.
