Zorba

Zorba the Hutt, also known as Zorba, was a male Hutt deeply involved in the galactic criminal world during the reign of Emperor Palpatine. His operations were based out of his palace, situated in the Southern Rim. Following the seizing of low-quality andris spice from the Razzi Syndicate's storage facility, Qi'ra proposed pressing Zorba the Hutt for information regarding the spice's origins. He shared a name with Zorba's Back, a large stone archway forming one of three at the entrance to Arch Canyon on the planet Tatooine.

Behind the scenes

Zorba Desilijic Tiure in the Star Wars Legends continuity

Zorba was initially mentioned canonically within a model sheet designed for "Hunt for Ziro," which was the ninth episode from Star Wars: The Clone Wars' animated television series' third season, initially broadcast on November 12, 2010. This sheet, credited to Darren Marshall, was featured as part of the special features included with the third season's Blu-ray release, and it highlighted the Twi'lek chorus girls who made an appearance in the final episode. A symbol, reportedly linked to Zorba, decorated one of the Twi'lek's headdresses, however concept art of Oruba the Hutt was included to the side. Within the Star Wars Legends continuity, Zorba made his debut in the 1992 junior novel titled Zorba the Hutt's Revenge, authored by Paul and Hollace Davids. Although he was Jabba Desilijic Tiure's father in that continuity, the current Star Wars canon has not established any link between Zorba and Jabba Desilijic Tiure's father.
