Wen Gallo was a female Selkath and held the rank of Colonel within the Manaan Special Warfare Group. Around 3626 BBY, during the reconstituted Sith Empire's invasion of Manaan, she played a key role in the Selkath resistance, assisting the Galactic Republic. Upon the arrival of the leader of Task Force Nova on Manaan, she was instrumental in deactivating the planet's ion cannon.
Gallo is both a founding member and the current field commander of the Manaan Special Warfare Group (MSWG). Early in her career, she demonstrated exceptional bravery during the Battle of Gwaria Trench. Despite heavy losses inflicted on her company by kolto raiders, she refused to order a retreat. Instead, she rallied the surviving soldiers, employing guerilla warfare to delay the enemy's advance until reinforcements arrived. This event was later cited as the primary catalyst for the formation of the MSWG.
During the Sith Empire's invasion of Manaan, Colonel Gallo allied herself with the Republic forces to thwart the Empire's efforts to seize kolto. While aboard an Imperial vessel, she nearly perished when Major Cadmael Benthos Dosk purged the room of oxygen. Shortly thereafter, Arn Peralun, the Jedi Knight who lead Task Force Nova and sabotaged the ship, discovered her unconscious. They utilized escape pods to evacuate her to safety, but this action resulted in the kolto being left behind on the doomed vessel.
Throughout Manaan, Gallo is celebrated as a courageous figure, a staunch loyalist, and a fervent defender of her people's interests. However, she is not known for her diplomatic skills. Her tenure as the head of the MSWG has only deepened her distrust of outsiders, occasionally leading to international incidents due to her bluntness. Gallo has declined several opportunities for promotion, choosing instead to remain actively involved in field operations.
