A unique talent displayed by certain members of the Whiphid species, most notably the Jedi Master K'Kruhk, was the Whiphid healing trance. When a Whiphid utilized this trance, their metabolism would decrease to such a degree that they could appear to be dead at times. However, their body was actually in the process of repairing any damage it had sustained. During the period of the Clone Wars, K'Kruhk employed this ability on multiple occasions to pull through injuries that would have otherwise been lethal.
