Whippendell Woods, situated in close proximity to the English town of Watford, served as a filming location for two brief segments in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. Specifically, it was utilized for the initial scenes set on Naboo, featuring Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi during their initial encounter with Jar Jar Binks, and also for scenes depicting the Gungan Sacred Place.
