Wide-beam sonic stunner

The wide-beam sonic stunner is a weapon of note, particularly because of its use with the Juggernaut war droid circa 4800 BBY.

This weapon, affixed to the droid's chassis, emitted concentrated sound waves around the droid's immediate area. The purpose of these waves was to discourage enemy soldiers from approaching too closely. While primarily designed to prevent infantry from nearing the droid, the weapon could be modified. These modifications allowed it to transition from a non-lethal deterrent into a device capable of fracturing the bones of a typical humanoid. This functionality was also crucial for affecting beings with varying sensitivities to the sound waves.

Comparable devices frequently served as defensive perimeter weapons for other military vehicles and important facilities.
