Wiley, a celebrated fighter in Ewok folklore, is known for his unique hunting style. He supposedly used a rope tied to his foot to swing from high branches to catch his targets. The name "Wiley" was commonly used for male Ewoks, for instance, a young Ewok from the Bright Tree Village community.
The initial reference to the famed Wiley appeared in the Galactic Campaign Guide role-playing game, dating back to 2003.
