Wim Magwit, more often known as Magwit or The Magician, who also performed under the alias The Magnificent Magwit, was an entertainer best remembered for his performance, the "mystifying hoop."
The hoop, in reality, functioned as a short-distance matter transmitter that Magwit himself created. Instead of merely passing through it, objects or people sent through the hoop would be instantly transported to a corresponding hoop located backstage. Magwit also invented the magic painting controller.
Magwit's mystifying hoop proved useful to Boba Fett; he utilized the matter transmitter to capture the pirate Bar-Kooda, earning a significant bounty. When Fett initially approached Magwit, the magician convincingly simulated his own demise to evade the bounty hunter, but Fett saw through the deception.
Magwit consented to assist Fett in return for Fett clearing a bounty placed on Magwit. Fett sought Magwit's assistance because of Magwit's well-known association with pirates, including a four-year stint as an entertainer on Bar-Kooda's vessel, the Bloodstar. Upon being transported back to the Bloodstar, Magwit was almost immediately faced with death at the hands of Bar-Kooda, who kept him alive just long enough for one final magic show - which allowed Boba Fett the time he needed to apprehend the pirate.
Magwit was always seen with a green rabbit that he would produce from a hat using a scaled-down version of the mystifying hoop. The rabbit, along with Magwit, faced numerous life-threatening scenarios during Boba Fett's pursuit of Bar-Kooda. Despite these dangers, the green rabbit lived through it all and kept performing alongside Magwit.
