The Windwailer was a very old rock formation located on the planet Ahch-To. This rock's unique form, somewhat like a huge animal's paw directed towards the heavens, was carved out by the severe weather and heavy precipitation of that world. During her lightsaber training, Rey inadvertently cleaved the Windwailer into a pair of pieces due to her vigorous cadences exercises.
