For a version of this page that updates automatically, check out Wookieepedia:Maintenance. Do you want to contribute to Wookieepedia but lack inspiration? Are you searching for some quick and easy improvements while planning a larger project? Here are some suggestions to get you started.
The addition of images could significantly improve some articles. You can locate articles that have a request for image enhancement here. To include an image in an article, you must first upload it, ensuring to include the image's source and licensing details. A list of uploaded files can be found here, and a gallery of the most recent files is available here. A picture tutorial that explains how to insert and modify an image within an article can be found here. If an image request tag exists on the article, remember to remove it after adding the image.
Occasionally, two users independently create articles on the same topic but using different titles. When this occurs, we tag these articles for merging, hoping someone will combine them into a single, unified article. Articles awaiting merging can be found here. After completing the merge, remember to remove the merge tags.
A significant number of our articles were created without proper source citations. Given that anyone can create an article on Wookieepedia, sources are crucial for differentiating between canon and fanon. Articles requiring sources are located here, while articles needing proper citation can be found here.
Many articles contain references to topics not yet covered on Wookieepedia, resulting in redlinks. Some articles have a large number of these links. These articles are less helpful to users, as related information they may seek is unavailable. Creating new articles to address these gaps in articles with numerous redlinks is beneficial. You can find such articles here. Once most of the links have been addressed, remember to remove the redlink tag from the original article.
Certain topics are referenced extensively across numerous pages, yet lack a dedicated article. A list of these frequently referenced topics, ranked by the number of references, can be found here.
Note: This functionality is currently unavailable. Incorrect spelling reflects negatively on Wookieepedia's credibility. A list of commonly misspelled words can be found here.
Another resource for users interested in correcting common spelling errors can be found here, which is where users post frequently seen typos to be fixed.
Occasionally, an article redirects to another article, which then redirects to a third article. Instead of a seamless redirect, users must manually navigate to the final destination. To prevent this, we aim to eliminate double redirects by directing all redirects to their ultimate target. A list of double redirects can be found here.
Categories facilitate easy navigation by grouping similar topics together. A list of articles that need categorization can be found here.
Some articles are simply placeholders, awaiting an enthusiastic Wookieepedian like yourself to expand upon them. A list of these "stubs" can be found here. Note that short pages that are already complete should not be categorized as stubs. Also, see Category:Articles to be expanded.
