Xarot Korlin was a male Human who served the Imperial Inquisitorius as an Inquisitor. He was stationed on the planet of Dathomir during the time of the Galactic Civil War.

During the era of the Galactic Civil War, Inquisitor Xarot Korlin found himself posted to the planet of Dathomir. His assignment involved researching the practices of the local witches, specifically their use of what he perceived as "magic." His hypothesis was that these "magical" abilities were linked to unique stones embedded within the elaborate headdresses of the witches. Driven by this belief, he dispatched an operative to infiltrate Nightsisters territory with the mission to eliminate a Nightsister and retrieve one of their Nightsister Force crystals. Upon the operative's successful return, Xarot acknowledged the completion of the task and expressed his gratitude. Regrettably, his attempts to decipher any special properties within the stone proved futile, leaving him perplexed about the source of the witches' "magic." His only observation was that the stone exhibited a slightly lower temperature than anticipated, leading him to speculate that the witches might be harnessing the Force in a manner reminiscent of the Jedi Order.
Despite the lack of initial findings, Korlin remained convinced of the stones' significance. Consequently, he tasked the same operative with assassinating a Singing Mountain Clan witch and acquiring her Force crystal. Upon receiving this new stone, he initiated a comparative analysis with the Nightsister crystal, seeking any potential connections. However, his investigations yielded no discernible results, prompting him to seek the operative's assistance once more. He theorized that the stones might not function independently but rather in conjunction with pulses emanating from the witches' brains. Lacking access to a witch's brain for experimentation, he directed the operative to capture a Nightsister initiate and bring her to him. Once the operative returned with a Nightsister, he proceeded to perform a lobotomy on her, reassuring her that the procedure would not cause prolonged discomfort.
