Xeron, a planet found in the Trailing Sectors region of the Inner Rim, resided in the Xeron system. Around 3 ABY, during the time of the Galactic Civil War, a battle occurred on Xeron between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire; the Imperial Army deployed a novel warbot against Rebel ground forces, with disastrous results for the Rebels.
The initial mention of Xeron occurred in Star Wars (1977) 47, which was penned by Archie Goodwin and made available in 1981. The reference work The Essential Atlas, published in 2009, specified the location of the Xeron system, and consequently Xeron, as being in grid M-14.
