Xirys Patri held the occupation of a hyperspace prospector. It is said that, thousands of years prior to 382 BBY, Patri asserted he had experienced a crash landing on the enigmatic Planet X, facing near death. However, he managed to flee the planet following a miraculous recovery from his life-threatening wounds. He returned with a small quantity of valuable and exquisite treasures, distinct from anything previously witnessed.
In 382 BBY, Spence Leffbruk, Dass Leffbruk, and the prospector Radicaz Dobbs achieved the distinction of rediscovering Planet X after Patri. Later in that same year, Dass Leffbruk shared the tale of Patri with Jedi Padawan Rooper Nitani. Leffbruk found inspiration in Patri's story, fostering a desire to one day find his own planet.
The character Xirys Patri received a mention within the 2023 young adult novel titled The High Republic: Quest for Planet X, authored by Tessa Gratton.
