Xivhkalrainik's father

A Kaleesh individual, identified as male, served as the father of Xivhkalrainik. This Kaleesh offspring was unfortunately taken into captivity by the Sith Empire before eventually becoming a Sith apprentice serving Lord Kallig. Xivhkalrainik, later known as Xalek, maintained communication with his father, a polygamist, who died while his son was training under Kallig. Xalek received permission to conduct a proper burial for his father on Ilum, facilitating his ascension to godhood.

Approximately in 3631 BBY, Xalek, now elevated to the status of a Sith Lord, journeyed to his father's shrine located on Ilum, only to find that miners had defiled it. Overcome with fury, Xalek initiated a reign of terror and retribution against these miners, ultimately confronting the Commander, who assisted him in restoring his father's honor.

Behind the scenes

The father of Xivhkalrainik is referenced within Star Wars: The Old Republic during the narrative arc centered around the Xalek companion. He receives a subsequent mention in the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion, specifically during the Alliance alert mission titled Death Before Dishonor, where the Alliance Commander has the option to enlist Xalek into the Alliance. The Commander is presented with several choices: permitting Xalek to kill the miners to gain Dark Side points, compelling him to cease his actions to earn Light Side points, or enabling Xalek to spare the miners in return for constructing a small temple dedicated to his father, also yielding Light Side points.
