Yagaran aleudrupe plant

The Yagaran aleudrupe plant represented a species of flora, specifically a plant, distinguished by its pink-hued shoots. It yielded edible berries that were highly prized as a delicacy across numerous planets. A Gamgalon utilized these berries, in conjunction with two other legally obtainable chemical substances, to synthesize a gas functionally similar to Tibanna gas.

Biology and appearance

This plant, the Yagaran aleudrupe, thrived in soil and exhibited shoots of a pink hue. It bore a distinctive berry containing seeds, which were essential for the plant's reproduction and propagation.

History

Native to the Yagara system, the Yagaran aleudrupe plant's berries were esteemed as a culinary treat in many systems. This plant was brought to the Great Jungle located on the planet Varonat, which resided along the Ison Corridor, sometime before 7 ABY. The Krish crime lord known as Gamgalon discovered that the Morodin's slime trails altered the chemical composition of the plant's seeds when the soil was covered. These modified seeds, when mixed with rethan-K and promhassic triaxli, acted as a catalyst, resulting in a blaster propellant with comparable power to spin-sealed Tibanna gas. Because all three ingredients were legal and did not trigger customs alerts, they could be transported to various planets without raising suspicions.

Gamgalon then commenced cultivating these plants along the Morodin's slime trails, employing transpond markers to identify the planting sites for subsequent harvesting. To mask his clandestine operation within Varonat's Great Jungle, Gamgalon organized a safari to hunt the Morodin, and he bribed the local Imperial governor to overlook his activities. The smuggler Talon Karrde exposed Gamgalon's schemes in 8 ABY, and during his confrontation with the Krish, Gamgalon met his demise, leaving Karrde to dismantle the entire operation.
