Yorn Skot, a gas giant, existed within the Yorn Skot system, which was located close to Dargulli. This planet was a source in nature for tibanna gas that was not spinsealed.
Clode Rhoden held ownership and governance over this planet. He accumulated a large amount of wealth from the Yorn Skot mining station. Due to his lack of environmental concern, he was targeted for assassination by the eco-terrorist group known as the Green Forge.
In the year 38 BBY, Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi embarked on a mission to prevent the Aurorient Express from sinking into the gas giant. They uncovered Rhoden's scheme to murder his wife by sending her in an escape pod toward the station, intending to destroy it. He planned to then collect insurance money by attributing the destruction to Green Forge.
Ultimately, after numerous instances of betrayal involving several parties, the station was successfully saved. However, Rhoden lost the station to Saul Moegantz. Pressure pirates then proceeded to steal the Express, but they met their demise when it exploded due to a bomb that was originally intended for Rhoden.
During the period of the Clone Wars, Jedi Treetower was dispatched to the planet with the mission of disrupting the smuggling of goods conducted by the Trade Federation. When this mission failed, he was rescued by the High Orbit Precision Entry Squad, although only the leader of the squad survived the extraction. The goods were actually Ugnaught slaves who were being transported to work in droid factories.
Not long before the Battle of Yavin, Imperial Admiral Coy's ship, the Mathayus, picked up a distress signal from the Rebel Alliance originating near Yorn Skot. The Mathayus then proceeded to investigate the signal. First Officer [Atali], along with a group of stormtroopers, boarded the ship that the Mathayus had intercepted. However, this turned out to be a trap set by Grand Moff [Trachta]. It was a decoy filled with explosives that detonated, causing damage to the hangar bay of the Mathayus and resulting in the deaths of Atali and his men. The entire trap was designed to assassinate Darth Vader, who was aboard the Mathayus, but Vader was able to escape unharmed.
The settlement of the planet was spearheaded by Clode Rhoden, and it consisted of a variety of species. The mining station's population was in the thousands. Rhoden employed members of the Duros, Givin and Human species. Additionally, his luxury cruise liner, the Aurorient Express, attracted a diverse array of species, including Anx, Gran, Gungans, Hutts, Quarren and Twi'leks.
