YT-1200 medium freighter

The YT-1200 medium freighter represented a Corellian Engineering Corporation design within the YT-series of freighters, and it provided the foundation upon which Nova-Drive constructed its license-produced 3-Z light freighter. These vessels were characterized by a cylindrical, extended cockpit design and a hull that was rounded. The length of each ship measured 28 meters.

History

Following the YT-1000's debut, the YT-1200, along with the YT-1210 light freighter, was introduced. However, clients favored the earlier YT-1000 models. When the YT-1300 light freighter was launched, demand for the YT-1200 ceased almost entirely. CEC subsequently repurposed existing YT-1200 units, transforming them into the YT-1250 freighter.

Characteristics

The YT-1200 and the YT-1210 shared near identical designs, the primary distinction being the YT-1200's utilization of two cylindrical engines, in contrast to the YT-1210's three. A standard side-mounted cockpit, an elongated sensor array extending from the front, and ten points for installing modifications were all features of the YT-1200.
