Z-95-AF4-H multi-role starfighter

The Z-95-AF4-H multi-role starfighter, recognized as the Advanced Z-95 Headhunter and popularly called the Heavy '95, encompassed a line of altered Z-95 Headhunters utilized by the Rebel Alliance throughout the Galactic Civil War.

Description

These Heavy '95 models incorporated cross-body strakes to improve heat dispersal by spreading it across a larger surface area; this modification also increased the craft's carrying capacity, hence the name Heavy '95'.

History

Early in the Galactic Civil War, before the introduction of the X-wing starfighter, the Rebel Alliance engineered the Heavy-95. The Alliance's development of the advanced X-wing fighter was, to a significant degree, influenced by the achievements in manufacturing the Heavy '95s.
