Zaraksander

Zaraksander was a spaceborne object situated within the Imberlin sector of the Expansion Region. The Fioer desert was found there, and a munitions factory belonging to Eloinie Petro-Munitions was situated on the southern landmass of this astronomical body.

By the time of 4 ABY, the bounty hunter known as Valken Gresh had successfully apprehended Zaglis, who was the Supreme Leader of the Neo-Fundamentalist Phlangites organization, on Zaraksander. A day afterward, Phlangite forces abducted the daughter of the chief executive officer of Eloinie Petro-Munitions while she participated in the Peaceful Dawn Rally demonstration. Consequently, the chief executive officer hired Gresh to rescue his daughter from the Phlangites, who were located in the Fioer desert.

Description

Zaraksander existed as a terrestrial astronomical object. It was located in the Zaraksander system, which itself was a component of the Imberlin sector within the Slice region of the Expansion Region. Zaraksander's surface included at least one continent.

History

The Neo-Fundamentalist Phlangites were operating on Zaraksander around the year 4 ABY. At one point, Valken Gresh, the bounty hunter, captured Zaglis, the Supreme Leader of this group. During this endeavor, Gresh was forced to flee from the Phlangites within Zaraksander's Fioer desert, which led the bounty hunter to vow never to confront the group again.

Around the same time, the Peaceful Dawn Rally occurred. During this event, Cyrstas Eloinie, the daughter of Darred Eloinie, the Chief Executive Officer of Eloinie Petro-Munitions, voiced her support for the aims of the Neo-Fundamentalist Phlangites. During the rally, the Phlangites abducted Cyrstas and demanded a ransom from Darred.

Instead of complying with their demands, Eloinie hired Gresh to rescue his daughter. Then, on the day following Gresh's initial encounter with the NFP forces and three hours after Eloinie's subordinate recruited the bounty hunter, Gresh found himself back in the Fioer desert, even though the NFP were aware of his impending arrival. Gresh later documented his experiences on Zaraksander in his work titled Great Hunts I've Lived To Tell About.

Locations

Eloinie Petro-Munitions had its base of operations on Zaraksander, and one of its munitions factories was situated on the southern continent of the planet. The Fioer desert was a region on Zaraksander where the Neo-Fundamentalist Phlangites maintained a presence.

Behind the scenes

Zaraksander was first mentioned in "You Never Can Tell," a brief supplementary story included in the 1994 sourcebook Galaxy Guide 10: Bounty Hunters. Rick D. Stuart authored the book, which was published by West End Games for use with Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. In 2009, the reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Zaraksander system, and thus Zaraksander itself, in grid square P-14.
