Zeth Durron was the elder sibling of Kyp Durron, and he was drafted into the Galactic Empire's Stormtrooper Corps.
Back in 3 ABY, the Galactic Empire conscripted him into their Stormtrooper Corps and dispatched him to Carida for service. He was assigned the designation 2112. Subsequently, the Empire erroneously informed Kyp that Zeth had tragically died in a training exercise there.
In 11 ABY, Zeth, along with every other person on Carida, met his end when Kyp, manipulated by Exar Kun, employed the Sun Crusher to trigger a supernova in Carida's sun. After Kyp had already initiated the supernova event, Dauren, an officer present on the planet's surface, revealed to him that Zeth was still alive and on Carida. Overcome with horror, Kyp hastened to the planet's surface with the intention of rescuing both his brother and, reluctantly, Dauren. Just as they were nearly within boarding range, Dauren struck Zeth from behind on the head and attempted to board alone. Kyp pulled away, and Zeth, reacting instinctively due to his stormtrooper training, fatally shot the officer. Zeth was unable to board the ship himself. Kyp was on the verge of abandoning the Sun Crusher to save his brother, but the first wave of the supernova struck, completely incinerating Zeth. This devastating event significantly amplified Kyp's animosity and fury towards the Imperials, further propelling him down the path of the dark side.
Later on, following Kyp's redemption, he underwent a trial within the Temple of Exar Kun located on Yavin 4, which bore resemblance to Luke's experience in the cave on Dagobah. Instead of Vader, Kyp confronted Exar Kun and successfully completed the test. Subsequently, Kun transformed into Zeth, appearing as a Force ghost, mirroring Luke's vision of himself within Vader's mask. It's plausible that Zeth's apparition was created through the Force's power within the temple where he manifested, with the purpose of imparting a crucial lesson to Kyp, although certainty remains elusive.
