64-Y Swift 3 Repulsorlift Sled
The 64-Y Swift 3 Repulsorlift Sled was a product of the Aratech Repulsor Company.
Characteristics
The 64-Y Swift 3 Repulsorlift Sled, brought to life by the Aratech Repulsor Company, was a swift and lightweight repulsorlift sled. It embraced the same "engine with a seat" design ethos as the swoop bike. Spanning 4.1 meters, its sophisticated engineering eliminated the necessity for cumbersome directional vanes for steering assistance. This allowed the sole rider to assume a more comfortable, upright posture, utilizing handlebars and foot pedals. Boasting the ability to achieve speeds of eight hundred kilometers per hour and a maximum flight altitude of twenty-five meters, the Swift 3 could outpace nearly any vehicle, save for an airspeeder. The Swift 3's modular construction enabled engineers to adapt the sled for diverse mission requirements. The repulsor coils incorporated in the Swift 3 were constructed from refined durelium, a material prohibited in civilian vehicles.
The Swift 3 featured a front-mounted Mk 2e/S medium blaster cannon, a solitary clamping hook launcher, and drop nets released from a compartment located on the sled's underside. The rider of the Swift 3 would maneuver the vehicle above a target, subsequently deploying the nets. These nets entangled the target vehicle, emitting brief pulses to disrupt its repulsor fields. The net siphoned energy from the repulsor field, causing the target vehicle to crash. The sled also came equipped with cutting-edge scanning and communications jamming systems. With a cargo capacity of four kilograms and provisions for a day's duration, the Y-64 had a new purchase price of 8,000 credits, while used models could be acquired for 1,800 credits.
History

Army Command commissioned the Swift 3 in response to the escalating threat of swoop gangs that were terrorizing planets throughout the Outer Rim Territories. The sled achieved remarkable success, leading to its deployment alongside speeder bikes and All Terrain Scout Transport units. It served as a patrol vehicle on planets under Imperial control.
In the months that followed the conclusion of the Clone Wars, a 64-Y was operational on Sel Zonn Station, an XQ2 Platform orbiting the Core World of Brentaal IV. The Empire utilized it for transporting special cargo and for impromptu defense against a contingent of Alderaanian Resistance operatives.
Brinaloy N'Vaari, the Devaronian betrothed of A'jidre Skrigatov, possessed a significantly modified Swift 3 that was painted a fiery crimson and adorned with black racing stripes. To evade her impending marriage to Skrigatov, N'Vaari went into hiding, compensating Al T. Nadder to repaint the Swift 3 in iridescent green with purple racing stripes. Subsequently, she exchanged the Swift 3 for a hydrobike at Phluche's Hydrobike Rentals, paying the Herglic proprietor, Phluche Maltrid, one hundred credits to refrain from selling it for a minimum of six days.
On the planet Stend VI, a specialized Storm Commando squad known as the Dark Riders was commanded by Lieutenant Irlyn Resk. Charged with suppressing the numerous swoop gangs on the planet, the unit employed Swift 3s in conjunction with modified Ikas-Adno XR-10 Shadowhawks. Chop Harlison, a swoop tech residing in the city of Gallisport on Shesharile 5, repurposed the repulsor coils from a Swift 3 in the construction of his custom prototype swoop, the Star Slinger.
