During the High Republic Era, a book concerning starship construction, entitled Space and Humanity, 7th edition, was released. Carl, the primary engineer at Star Bay Shipyards, authored and published this work.
In 200 BBY, a mission to the Aakaash system was undertaken by Jedi Master Mostima along with her Padawan, Sean. Following their seperation due to an attack, Sean became a member of the Silver Knights, a mercenary group in the area headed by Li Yu. Sean remarked that the design of Li's battleship, the Silver Dawn, clearly followed the principles outlined in the 7th edition of Space and Humanity when asked if he was impressed. The Jedi continued by suggesting that retrofitting the ship to align with the 9th edition, which offered substantial improvements to interior space usage, would be beneficial. The mercenary captain became enraged and told Sean that he lacked the money to purchase every new edition, much less modify his vessel.
"His Majesty the King" mentioned the 7th edition of Space and Humanity in his 2020 Chinese web-novel, The Vow of Silver Dawn. The book's title was written as "《太空与人性》第7版" using Simplified Chinese characters in the novel.
