The Amity was a Starhawk-class Battleship Mark I manufactured by Nadiri Dockyards. It had a hatchet-shaped front and was classed as a battleship. Starhawks were built from recycled Imperial starships. As a Starhawk, the Amity was equipped with a powerful tractor beam that relied on magnite crystals, which allowed the ship to trap and carry ships many times its size.
The Amity was one of the first Mark One Starhawks to be commissioned by the New Republic for its Defense Fleet following the Battle of Endor. The Amity and its sister Starhawks Concord and Unity served during the pivotal Battle of Jakku in 5 ABY. During the battle, the Amity flanked the port side of the Concord. The three Starhawks served as the wedge of the New Republic attack on the dense Imperial Star Destroyer defensive line above Jakku. The Amity was destroyed when Captain Groff of the Star Destroyer Punishment rammed into her. Both ships were destroyed in the ensuing explosion.
Amity first appeared in Chuck Wendig's 2017 novel Aftermath: Empire's End, the third installment in Star Wars: The Aftermath Trilogy.
