Aphra family's tooka

A tooka was owned by the Aphra family as a pet by 18 BBY. The tooka often defecated on the carpet of the family's home on the Second Moon of Thrinittik. That year, the cat slept next to the girl Chelli Lona Aphra as she packed for a trip with her mother. Around 1 ABY, Aphra recalled her pet tooka while speaking with the crime lord 0-0-0 on the Outer Rim planet Son-tuul about the genetically modified tooka Flufto.

By 18 BBY, the Aphra family owned a tooka as a pet while they lived together in a house within the University Quarter of the Second Moon of Thrinittik. The cat was prone to defecating on the family's carpet in the house. That year, the girl Chelli Lona Aphra overheard her father Korin arguing with her mother Lona as Korin wanted to take the girl with him to the Fifth Moon of Thrinittik to recover records of the Ordu Aspectu—a splinter cell of the Jedi Order. After her father asked her if she wanted to accompany him or stay at home and play with the tooka, Aphra chose to go with Korin.

One evening later that year, after Korin neglected to keep watch over Chelli, she cut her finger. Lona arrived and told her husband what had happened and that he should have been watching over her. In response, Korin told Lona he could have found a way to restore the Ordu Apsectu, to which Lona sarcastically remarked that if they were restored, the Aspectu could stop the cat from soiling on the carpet. Afterward, Lona told Chelli to pack for a trip, and as she did, the family's tooka slept next to her on the carpet.

In 0 ABY, now a rogue archaeologist and doctor, Chelli created a recording for her former lover—the smuggler Sana Starros—that she intended Starros to hear after her death. During the recording, Aphra recounted a number of events in her life, including when her father had offered her the choice of joining him on a mission to the Fifth Moon of Thrinittik or staying to play with the tooka.

Around 1 ABY, while working for the droid crime lord 0-0-0, Aphra cloned a tooka into a batch of sixty genetically modified cats called Flufto. While on the Outer Rim planet Son-tuul carrying one of the Fluftos, 0-0-0 asked the archaeologist why she was carrying him. In response, Aphra informed the droid of her cloning and mentioned she had kept a tooka as a pet before. The mention of the tooka caused 0-0-0 to return to an earlier point he had made about obsessing over one's origins.

Personality and traits

The Aphra family's orange-pelted tooka had paler fur on their face, front legs, and the tips of their ears. The tooka had a tendency to defecate on the family's carpet.
