The 720 light freighter, also designated as the Ghtroc 720 or the Class 720 freighter, was a light freighter produced by Ghtroc Industries. Although less favored when compared to the rival YT-series, the Ghtroc 720 gained popularity within the Outer Rim Territories, where Ghtroc Industries had its base of operations, and even after the company ceased operations, thousands of these freighters were still in active service.

The Ghtroc 720 had a length of 38 meters and possessed the capability to transport 135 metric tons of freight within its two primary holds, each having a volume of 55 cubic meters. In its standard configuration, a permanently mounted double laser cannon was situated above the slightly elevated cockpit. A common modification involved installing ventral and dorsal turrets to enhance its defensive capabilities. The vessel featured a pair of docking tubes at its stern, each able to accommodate an escape pod. The sublight engines were positioned in the space between the docking tubes. As was typical for many light freighters, the Ghtroc 720 was often extensively modified to facilitate smuggling operations.
One notable Class 720 freighter was the Accuser, which served as the personal starship for Kal-tan-shi, a Tiss'shar bounty hunter and assassin. He acquired this starship from a target during a pursuit within the Lesser Plooriod Cluster.

In 9 ABY, Luke Skywalker utilized a heavily customized Ghtroc 720 in his efforts to locate the source of Grand Admiral Thrawn's clone troopers. The starship underwent reconstruction to enable a covert shroud maneuver, involving the complete removal of the cargo bay to accommodate Skywalker's T-65 X-wing starfighter. Upon being ensnared by the Star Destroyer Chimaera's tractor beam, Skywalker boarded his X-wing and initiated the freighter's self-destruction sequence, making his escape through a detachable ventral hull section. The reflective debris generated by the freighter disrupted the tractor beam. Although Thrawn was displeased by Skywalker's successful evasion, he expressed admiration for both the flawless execution of the covert shroud and the inventive, albeit unsuccessful, attempt by tractor beam operator Rejlii Mithel to prevent it.
