A small, icy world with only two notable cities, Contruum 6 was basically an outpost of the major Mid Rim center of Contruum, with which it shared the same star system. Relative remoteness within the system was combined with excellent hyperspace links, however—the Perlemian Trade Route lay just a micro-jump away, and two micro-jumps brought you to the Hydian Way.
For this reason, Contruum 6 was used by the Galactic Alliance as a major staging-point in the final stages of the Yuuzhan Vong War, where half the Alliance's available warships, including battlegroups from as far afield as Eriadu and the Imperial Remnant, gathered prior to the Battle of Yuuzhan'tar.
