FB-88 identified a Pelta-class frigate that operated as part of the Republic Navy during the Clone Wars, a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. On one occasion, FB-88 journeyed past a space object accompanied by a group of nine V-19 Torrent starfighters. FB-88 exhibited a red color scheme on its central ridges and borders, as well as on the bridge and sections toward the back. Furthermore, a pair of gold lines adorned the upper left and right hull sides. The frigate possessed a minimum of two double laser cannon turrets close to the back near the bridge, a minimum of two front-facing cannons, and at least a single sublight engine.
The initial appearance of FB-88 was in a card bearing the same title within the Pelta-class Frigate Expansion Pack, a 2021 expansion pack for the Star Wars: Armada miniature game produced by Fantasy Flight Games.
