Shortly after the outbreak of the war between the First Order and the Resistance in around the year 34 ABY, the cyborg "Colonel" Gusawn Askreeth spent time on the planet Cantonica in the city of Canto Bight. The cyborg watched a fathier race at the Canto Bight racetrack and cheered while seated in the racetrack's stands.
A repurposed Imperial stormtrooper breath mask covered the lower part of Askreeth's face and the "colonel's" legs and waist were replaced by a customized FX-8 trunk with hidden casters. Askreeth's left arm was replaced with a refurbished 2-1B-series medical droid limb, while the right was still organic, but arthritic. What skin the cyborg had left was orange in color and the "colonel's" eyes were black.
Askreeth wore a black and white robe, black gloves and a black waist band over gray cybernetic components.
Guswan Askreeth first appeared in the 2017 film Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi. The character was not named in the film, but received identification in Star Wars: The Last Jedi: The Visual Dictionary, a reference book written by Pablo Hidalgo and released in conjunction with the film. Creature concept designer Tim Napper produced concept art of Askreeth titled "Pearl General 05" which depicted the cyborg with more white clothing and hair as well as a rank insignia plaque.
