Lieutenant Hab was an officer who served the Imperial warlord Jerec during his search for the Valley of the Jedi, a Force nexus containing numerous trapped Jedi souls. When the valley was discovered in 5 ABY on the planet Ruusan, Hab was among the troops assigned to excavate it under Major Vig.
The excavation works, however, were complicated by the presence of the spirits of the Jedi and Sith that roamed around the valley, and Dark Jedi Yun, one of Jerec's apprentices came to handle the problem. Upon his arrival, Major Vig hosted a formal lunch in a repurposed storeroom with a Captain and another Lieutenant. After the meal, one such "Screamer" spirit possessed Hab and tried to suffocate him. Yun attempted to rescue Hab, attracting the spirit in him.
Hab's first and as yet only appearance was in the 1998 novella Dark Forces: Jedi Knight, written by William C. Dietz. Hab's species and gender were never specified in the book.
