The group known as the Seven Dark Jedi comprised Jerec alongside his six Dark Jedi cohorts, all driven by the ambition to discover the Valley of the Jedi and exploit its power for their own dark ambitions. Kyle Katarn was responsible for the deaths of all but Yun, whose life he spared following a lightsaber duel within the Barons Hed administrative tower. Tragically, Yun met his end shortly thereafter, slain by Sariss after saving Katarn's life.

Once a Jedi Master and later an Inquisitor, Jerec emerged as the formidable leader of the Seven Dark Jedi. His prowess in the Force was immense, making him one of the most significant threats to the galaxy since the death of Palpatine.
Jerec dedicated himself to the study of the dark side in all its manifestations, drawing knowledge from the Dark Side Compendium authored by Darth Sidious himself. It was within these texts that he conceived the idea of uniting seven Dark Jedi into a single, unified will, a concept that remained with him throughout his life.

Sariss, the daughter of Lord Cronal and Jerec's second-in-command, saw herself as his foremost apprentice. A ruthless killer and skilled warrior, she had mastered nearly every aspect of lightsaber combat.

Known as Boc Aseca the Crude, he was the embodiment of madness. As a master of his unique and strange interpretation of Jar'Kai dual blade lightsaber combat, he was exceptionally cruel and reveled in inflicting pain and suffering.

Once a Jedi Shadow but transformed into a dark side killing machine by Jerec, Maw represented pure anger, rage, and hatred. He also developed his own version of the perilous Trispzest lightsaber combat style.

Picaroon C. Boodle and Gorc were collectively known as the Brothers of the Sith. The combination of Boodle's intelligence and tactical acumen with Gorc's raw strength made them a nearly unstoppable force.

Yun was the youngest and least experienced member of the Seven Dark Jedi. Driven by a desire to prove himself to Sariss, whom he regarded as his mentor, Yun was a dangerous opponent in battle.
Similar to Darth Krayt and Exar Kun, the Seven Dark Jedi stand out as some of the few dark side characters within the Star Wars universe who do not limit themselves solely to red lightsabers. While Jerec and Maw favor red sabers, they are exceptions to the rule: Yun wields a yellow saber (which Katarn claimed for himself after his own lightsaber was destroyed and Yun's death), Gorc and Pic use orange ones, Boc employs purple ones, and Sariss fights with a blue one.
