The designation Brothers of the Sith was the moniker adopted by Picaroon C. Boodle and Gorc, who were falsely referred to as "twins." They functioned as two members of Jerec's group of Seven Dark Jedi. Occasionally, they were also referred to as the Twins.
Despite the nickname, Pic and Gorc were not related by blood, nor were they actually Sith. Their existence was actually due to an experiment involving Sith alchemy, conducted by Cronal under the orders of Emperor Palpatine. Cronal genetically engineered a Kowakian monkey-lizard and a Gamorrean by swapping genetic material between them, effectively creating artificial genetic "brothers." As a consequence of this mutation, the two Sithspawn developed a Force bond that allowed each to perceive the other's location, emotional state, and sensory experiences, even including pain.
When observed together, the Twins presented a contrasting and almost humorous image, primarily due to their disparities in intelligence, communication style, size, height, strength, and overall build. This difference allowed them to collectively possess a diverse range of skills, effectively complementing one another. Pic, being the more intelligent of the pair, assumed the role of the "big brother," also providing care for Boc.
The duo later served Inquisitor Jerec as members of his Seven Dark Jedi, participating in the execution of Qu Rahn's team and the disabling of 8t88. During a confrontation between Jerec's Dark Jedi and Kyle Katarn, Gorc met his demise. The resulting severing of the bond with his "brother" caused Pic to experience a profound sense of loss, as if half of himself had perished. This led Pic into a state of uncontrolled madness, ultimately resulting in his own death, reuniting him with his other half.
Individually, Pic's swiftness and cunning, combined with Gorc's brute strength, were a formidable pairing during combat. They consistently fought as a unified team, addressing all vulnerabilities and angles, which made their combined abilities exceptionally dangerous. Pic frequently used invisibility, while Gorc often employed telekinesis to constrict his adversaries, rendering them immobile. As Rahn put it, "Pic is the energy and Gorc the counter."
The Twins had a shared awareness and a degree of telepathy; each one was aware of the other's whereabouts, sensations, and emotions. When they were in close proximity to each other, their individual power increased. However, this connection also meant that they shared pain, injuries, and the corrupting influence of the dark side. Upon Gorc's death, the surviving twin felt as if he had lost half of his life.
In Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, the level where the player confronts Gorc and Pic (Level 11) is named "Brothers of the Sith," and Qu Rahn refers to them as twins. Further details about their relationship were developed by Wizards of the Coast.
