A fusion of elements drawn from both Form VII and the traditional aerial dueling style of the S'kytri, Trispzest represented a unique form of aerial lightsaber combat. In the S'kytric language, its name translates to heart palpitation.
The airborne Force-sensitive Majestrix of Skye, known as Kharys, is credited with the original development of this style.
Trispzest was designed to empower combatants by leveraging the inherent advantages of aerial combat against those restricted to the ground, whom the S'kytri disparagingly termed "walkers." A key element of Trispzest involved the sai cha technique, specifically employed to decapitate these "walkers."
Notable practitioners of trispzest included Nazish and the Dark Jedi Maw, who, having lost his legs, utilized the dark side to levitate.

The sai cha technique, focused on decapitation, was frequently employed against ground-based opponents, establishing strategic similarities between Trispzest and mounted lightsaber combat.
Maw particularly favored another technique: a whirlwind attack. This involved rapidly spinning in the air, often while maintaining a stationary hover, and delivering lightsaber strikes in all directions, a tactic demonstrably effective against multiple adversaries.
While Trispzest offered numerous benefits, it possessed a critical vulnerability: susceptibility to attacks originating from directly beneath the combatant by those on the ground. Kyle Katarn exploited this weakness during a duel on the Valley Tower of Ruusan, dropping to the ground and thrusting his lightsaber upwards as Maw flew overhead, resulting in injury to the Dark Jedi.
