Jerid's mother

A female individual lived during the High Republic Era and was the mother of the human boy Jerid—who was born around 393 BBY. Jerid also had a younger human sister named Vemian. By 382 BBY, Jerid was one of the Littles, children in the Path of the Open Hand cult who believed that the Force was not to be wielded. Jerid's mother at one point told him that it was easier to follow the Path if one was not tempted to touch the Force.

That year, while in the market of the town Ferdan on the Outer Rim planet Dalna, the Littles and Marda Ro—an Evereni Path member who oversaw the Littles—witnessed the Jedi Padawan Kevmo Zink using the Force to move flowers through the air. After the Little Jezra'lin expressed their hope to have been Force-sensitive, Jerid stated he had not and added what his mother had said to him.

Jerid's mother was mentioned in the 2022 young-adult novel The High Republic: Path of Deceit, written by Justina Ireland and Tessa Gratton as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase II.
