That year, while giving away flowers with Ro at a station in the Dalnan city Ferdan's market, he teased fellow Path member and Little Utalir that her yellow head tendrils were prettier than flowers and wondered what the Path would get in return if they gave her up as a gift freely given. Shortly after, a Jedi briefly came to their station, and afterwards Jerid told the Littles that his mother said it was easier to follow the Path if you weren't Force-sensitive and tempted to use it. When Utalir asked, he told her that he'd heard that Jedi were Warriors who fought monsters.
Jerid also had a crush on Yana Ro, and was disappointed when he saw her kiss her girlfriend Kor Plouth. When the Path's compound was threatened by flooding, the Littles stayed with Elders Old Waiden and . He and Utalir even looked after three toddlers during the event.
